A question: where do you dispose of your sharps…syringes or needles…besides the transfer station. I am currently without my own transportation, not driving, and needless to say, it’s difficult finding a drop off that isn’t in some other part of Seattle, etc., so thought I’d ask here. There must be others in the same predicament, I would think.
Jan, we have a diabetic cat and our Vet takes the used syringes but they do charge to dispose of them maybe other Vets will do so for yours??? You could give one a call that’s close by and ask.
Good luck.

my husband is newly diagnosed type 1, his doctor here in Seattle told us to put them in a 2 liter bottle and when it is filled put the lid back on it, to duck tape it tight and put it in the trash.
Jan, I’ve always just taken my sharps container to the transfer station (which I understand is a challenge for you without a car), but if you find another local option, please let me know. The one time I had to go over there, they all seemed really confused as to where they even go and I ended up on line for a while as they figured it out.
I was at the pharmacy at Harborview earlier today and read the sharps disposal sign they have posted. It confirmed what Franci said about Bartell’s disposing of sharps containers, and I believe it said the minimum disposal cast was $2.00
