Oh the right .. downtrodden right. We were so buried by the monied left in the last presidential election. I didn’t do my part. I didn’t make one single political donation. I mean, McCain? Well, Wall Street has their fingers up in the wind…the bets are being laid. Here it comes…. wrote my first campaign check today. Shucks… was I surprised or what? Don’t trust Romney… he won’t get past Obamacare Lite.. Perry? Nope.. But I do want to hear more from Herman Cain… here’s a couple of Ben Franklin’s to keep ya in the running. Sounding better and better. The man actually had a job.. a real job. Met a payroll…. I mean..’cmon started in the food service industry.. how much more “blue collar” can a Rutgers man get?

Herman Cain, the man who said that blacks voted Democrat because they were brainwashed…yeah, right !

However…are you sure, as a more conservative voter, that you can really support him? lol..there is this maybe you need to read..

Tell me… any group that votes 94% of the time for one party, with no appreciable benefit(s)..certainly NOT under this administration..what would you call them? Enlightened? This is straight talk.. I like it. Obama trashes Isreal…gets killed in the polls..does he stand firm? Noooo…sponsors mayhem on their borders, the Egypt/Gaza border is now porous as his integrity, does a Kerry flip flop at the UN.., now what the hell is he doing selling them 550 deep penetrating bunker busters? Now, who would have such facilities that would require such ordnance? What has he done now that would require them? Aren’t ya little bit concerned..even Dubya wouldn’t sell them.. Hmmmm? The thing about the man…(Cain) he is not so arrogant as to presume he knows all… plus my favorite… he is for charter schools and vouchers… oh yea.. and secure borders, and he has military experience and the technical proficiency to evaluate true defense needs..and not likely to ask 4 star command generals to “fudge” their testimony during congressional oversight hearings… and you know… Obamacare will be gone. and HE CAN READ and understand a financial statement … Solyndra. Cain vs Unable .. did ya send The Messiah a check yet?

    Kootch…

I am tickled to hear you put your money where Herman Cain’s mouth is.

i put mine on Elizabeth Warren…

yup.. i know she isn’t running for president

but at least she’s interested in getting something done .. in her lifetime.

Good for you. I encourage every Progressive to contribute… to anyone. Gosh darn it… I wish Ralph Nader would show up again… we need a really strong progressive voice again… someone worthy of your contributions. Having Mass in the conservative fold is nice… but I think the RNC has some $$$ plans … Koch Bros… front and center!

It appears so. I imagine there will be a hefty fine to pay. God, what a nightmare to try and control over 50,000 jobs and in the worst of businesses…chemicals. At least this they got in front of it and self reported this time.. I am waiting to see if Wall Street gets a similar vetting. They have a lot of explaining to do too. Obama got…. so they aren’t on a big rush, and the republicans expect to get… I guess you have to have enough skin to cover both sides of the game table. The stench is awful. At the very least we should be able to ID our own attack dogs. That is why I am going for Cain… so far, the cleanest of the lot.

i, too, am glad you’re supporting herman cain, kootch.

err… i mean… umm.. wait! what are you thinking?! that guy will ruin america! please don’t vote for him!

heh. this is going to be fun.

hey, by the way, let’s see how the money stacks up this time, huh? unions versus corporations? ready to admit that we’re outgunned? or are you guys going to stick by your assertion that unions have faaaar more money and political clout than corporations?

also, too, i’m having some tee shirts made with the words “union thug” across the back in big block letters.

Well here is how it works… Wall Street bets it own interests. In the last election, the banks and finance houses went all in for Obama.. Corporations sat the election out for the most part…Cept telecoms who went Obama with Wall Street…his year, they are going all in for Republicans… This year I will expect a gusher from corporate America… and Wall Street… to go Republican. Yea, this year it’s a financial ass whuppin’… but so far… I don’t see Obama having $5 plate fried chicken dinners with his “peeps”… no… $33,000 per plate for The Messiah. Cain..well .. I have some problems.. little too “Christian” for my tastes… but… he comes from a business backround… from the bottom up, Morehouse grad, Rutgers grad, with military technology backround too… I think he is pragmatic .. wants a tax code redo… yea. Unions are going to take a back seat on this bus ride. He wants education reforms big time… I just saw the CBO report… we SAVE 289 BILLION by repealing Obamacare… Jan should love that.. she loves to quote CBO..as a fair and non partisan source..

Tell ya the truth redblack… The Messiah is going off his rocker to get re-elected. Why would he just sell Isreal 550 of our most powerful, deep penetrating bunker busters? Now we both know there are no hardened sites anywhere in the middle east that needs that kind of ordnance… except … Iranian nuclear facilities… see where this is going dude? This is the kind of ordnance Dubya was afraid to sell them.. Whew… talk about wagging the tail…for a peace and justice guy… he sure has an itchy trigger finger eh? Make sure the T;s are OHSA approved reflectives… they show up good in headlights

The decision to sell bunker busters to Israel was wrong. These are offensive weapons and, as kootchman says, there’s a good chance they’ll be used against Iran.

I’m all for putting political and economic pressure on Iran to either stop its nuclear program or make it transparent. And we’ve been doing that, with some success. Now comes this news of the bunker busters. That’s a big step in the wrong direction.

Frankly, I don’t feel great about the US selling weapons to Israel, Egypt, or anybody else. That is helping the world prepare for war. As Albert Einstein said: You cannot simultaneously prevent and prepare for war.

i don’t support israeli aggression in any way. they already have 300 nuclear warheads and are not signatory to the NPT. selling them more bombs to use against palestinians or anyone else is just plain wrong.

i’ll join in any signature-gathering event to block the sale.

    but we digress.

so. we repeal obamacare, save $280 billion right now, and go right back to spending 16% of GDP on health care and getting gouged by insurance companies who can refuse to cover us for arbitrary reasons.

    penny wise and pound foolish.

and, uhh, did you just threaten to run me over in the dark, kootch?

    nice.

    Gawd.

I had to set up an account just to point out this little gem from Kootchman:

“I don’t see Obama having $5 plate fried chicken dinners with his “peeps””

Do you think you could fit in any more stereotypes about african-americans? Fried chicken? Peeps?

I know you’re going to deny this and use your support for Herman Cain as your “I’m not a racist” beard.

    But it’s pretty blatant.

Hey Kootch, I am with you. I sent Cain some cash a week or so ago after the Florida debate. I can’t stand Perry and I think Romney is the same ole same ole politician. I don’t see anything happening from either one.

I can’t take more politicians. I need to think outside of the box rather than keep towing the party line.

    Bostonman…

so.. let me get this right?

you don’t think Herman Cain is a politician?

    Please share with me

what do you think he is?

    Kootchman…

while you were talking about all that big money going to Obama last year…

you neglected to mention the war chest he gathered from $5 citizen donations that made wall street take him seriously…

I think he is a business man who needs to learn more about politics. But he is interested in coming up with some out of the box ideas to try and fix things.

Its obvious you don’t like him because he isn’t a democrat but when have you ever voted for anyone who isn’t a democrat? I have voted for both parties at different times in my short life.

    Bostonman…

yes, i have voted for someone who isn’t a democrat.

in fact, i once worked on the campaign of someone who wasn’t democrat…

    another assumption bites the dust!

    as for Herman..

who is more relevant than your assumptions about liberals..

well than about this liberal anyway:)

you might want to do a wiki search…

paying attention to the section where they talk about his political history.

LOL.. for a man who is not a politician he has been pretty active in politics.

Godot…. looking for soemthing that doesn’ exist. Another PC’r run amok. Chicken dinners are a staple of the populist campaign circuit. See the Iowa caucus dinners. Get a grip. Peeps has been in the popular culture for what? 30 years? But yes, there was deliberate racial irony in the post…I crafted the wording. I am not hiding from it…. like the post I made about “the big black bus that will never go into a big black neighborhood”..Cain actually worked, in the food service industry from the most basic level to the boardroom. He is a more versatile man, very comfortable in his own skin. He mingles well in every strata of society…Obama uses the assured black vote.. they get nothing from him, so he can and does, safely ignore them. Cain on the other got the Florida straw poll on “old fashioned” message and handshake. He is not afraid to be impromptu.. and he makes a few gaffs..so do we all. Obama won’t mix with the “folk”..this is the Teleprompter Prez.so afraid to grass roots campaign. He gets flummoxed when an unscripted voter puts him on the spot . Got a special handbook for who can use what terms under what circumstances that meet with your notion of political correctness, Those days are over..we don’t even try to appease that nonesense. I thought it was good sarcasm and irony..and am sooo not apologetic. Try doltish on on for size..and very clumsy attempt to devalue the discourse with a distraction.. we know the tactic..ya gotta raise your game on this board. Fact.. I bet, Cain would actually recognize the equipment in Ezells’..probably could run the fryer.. Obama would wear a hard hat, safety goggles and look confused. Well JoB he did… I readily admit the Democrats went into the last election with a monstrous war chest. The point of it all.. is.. The Messiah is as much a special interest pander machine as it they get…

    Bostonman…

btw.. that other assumption i sort of passed over..

that i don’t like Herman Cain because he is not a democrat?

    busted again.

if you read his political history you will quickly realize that liberals have a far greater aversion to Herman Cain than his choice of political party…

Could it be he chose the Republican party because of his political opinions?

I think he fits right in over there.

Any time you want my opinion..

all you have to do is ask for it :)

I guess I got busted. I am ok with being wrong, if I was never wrong then I wouldn’t sit in an office all day.

As far as Hermain Cain goes I don’t consider him a true republican and don’t support everything about him but out of who is up there I like him the best. I am sure he has been involved in politics and I didn’t mean to imply he wasn’t involved. I meant as far as holding political office and being a career politician.

i’ll lose a few bets, but if herman cain wins the GOP nomination, i’ll be a happy guy.

ahh. oohh. i mean, umm… that would suck!

please please please don’t nominate herman cain! there’s no way the fascist appeaser-in-chief socialist secret muslim never-ran-a-business bailout guy could beat herman cain!

wow..I just love the name calling…”doltish”? Seriously? People are allowed to have differences of opinion without being called names, and treated condescendingly. Talk about devaluing the discourse with distraction ! Geez!

This is a general message too everyone on here…get over yourselves, for g-d’s sake !

ahem, .. If anyone calls me a racist, It is a “doltish statement and fits the element of being a dolt. In fact what II said was “try doltish on for size”..as an apt and whoilly appropriate response to her quippet of inference. Jan, the author is more than able to defend his statements, as am I. Your opinion is noted. You are not the net nanny. “en attendant Godot”

    As posted:

I know you’re going to deny this and use your support for Herman Cain as your “I’m not a racist” beard

That’s his (her?) opinion. It is a doltish statement. is mine. Being the selective, highly selective, again?

If they can sling it, I can handle it.
