Speak out Against Animal Cruelty!

Tonight I witnessed a site I could not stay quiet about and I hope others will speak out when they too see animal cruelty in action.

On 2/14 at 6:40p at the corner of Admiral and California, as a dog passed another dog, the little yorkshire terrier pulled at his leash and stood on his hind legs toward the other, the owner yanked the leash so hard the dog flew off his feet and landed two feet back at its owner’s side. As they waited to cross Admiral, the dog cowered and glanced up at the man. That poor dog had to have been hurt being yanked and picked up off his feet by his collar!

I confronted the man- 5’10” 200lb 40s black hair, black mustache, black clothes, and an accent (latino?) and offered a better home if he felt his dog was a burden to him. His response informed his opinion of animals.

I ask that you look out for the defenseless and speak out everytime you see an animal being abused! Enough is enough!

CindyLou, good for you for saying something to this guy. Just be careful, there are a lot of very bad people out there, and if he does this to a defenseless animal he probably isn’t above doing something to a person.
