I stopped in to Roxbury Lanes to quell my craving for their salt & pepper wings last night. Crispy and covered in garlic and diced jalapenos, oh man, they are so good! It always amazes me when such uncomplicated food can be so delicious.
So when I ordered from Anna, the nicest bartender ever, she told me that the tv show “Best In Chow” recently filmed a show there about their tasty wings. Congrats Roxbury! She said the show should air in August.
If you go to try them, they are best eaten there while hot and crispy. When I get them to go I put them in the oven for a bit to crisp them up again and they are still so yummy. If you are feeling adventurous the salt & pepper head on shrimp are really good too. I love the crunchy shrimp heads!
I admit the Roxy is pretty divey, but their Asian food is great and they are one of the very few late night food options in West Seattle. They serve food until 3am on weekends! Now I’ve got myself craving them again, I’m going to have to go back tonight for some more salt & pepper wings!
