Just before the pipeline broke, I was thinking about all the stupid, useless animals swimming around down there in the Gulf of Mexico, breeding like crazy and using up Earth’s precious resources without paying anybody for the right to do so.
 That really made me mad.
Way to go: British Petroleum! —Anyone can bellyache about Nature. You’re one of the companies that’s actually doing something to stop it.
A big shout-out to all the righteous folks out there who own BP stock as well. When the . . . er . . . oil . . . hit the fan, you did your best to keep share prices high, then bravely took a hit when the government announced an investigation. Hopefully, when the brouhaha is over, you’ll be able to sue someone, claiming you were tricked and misled.
But the biggest rave of all goes to the millions of ordinary Americans who drive outsized cars and trucks, commute hundreds of miles to work, or drive around just for the hell of it.
Remember: You’re the reason BP does what it does . . . So keep it up!
