FranciParticipantHuge RANT to the person who is putting yard waste into my recycle bin. I DO NOT have time to clean up after you right now. Please STOP!
If anyone has suggestions about how to install a lock on the recycle and yard waste bins I’m all ears. This is not the first time this has happened.

WDParticipantIf the yard waste consists of bags of leaves and you’re in the Morgan Junction area, let me know. I might know who’s responsible.

FranciParticipantLocation is Gatewood and no not bags of leaves. If it was bags it would be easy to remove and put in the proper bin. This is loose material that is now mixed with my recycleable. :(

BreezyParticipantCan you move your cans so they’re no longer accessible to the rude dumper? Waste company may be able to help with this problem..give ’em a call.

jwwsParticipantNot sure why they are using your container, other than they can, but if you can’t store it in an area where it can’t be accessed then maybe move your recycle container next to the Yardwaste and put signs on the tops saying “Yardwaste” or “recycle”. And look at the bright side, at least it is not dog poop that they are tossing in there! ;-)

KatherineLParticipantTrue Value sells whatever length of rope – and I think chain – that you need, and padlocks. You could tie or chain it and padlock it. A nuisance for you when you need to use it, but not as much as cleaning that stuff out.

FranciParticipantThe containers already have very large signs that say Yard Waste and Recycle on them, not sure that adding more will help.
Its just a pain to have to dump it, and sort out the recycleables, then scoop the yard waste into the proper container. When I found it this morning, I was already dressed for work and didn’t have time to change, dump, sort, change again. ARgh…

CostanzaParticipantVery annoying. I had a neighbor using my trash can as their own. I have the smaller can, so I can’t afford the space if someone dumps their trash in there. It caused me an extra garbage charge one week. They did this 2-3 times, and the last time I put on the gloves and found some mail with their address in their garbage. So I went and placed all their trash on their doorstep with a note (no one answered when I knocked). They stopped after that.
