PDieterParticipantDon’t be a dumba$$ on the road. As a quiz see if you can pick them out in this photo. ;)

I don’t mean to harsh ya all out but…really? a 17 degree slope of ice and you’re thinking, yea I can do that?

SueParticipantI was at the corner of Dawson and Fauntleroy this morning and looked up the hill, which gets very steep as it goes westbound towards California. At the steepest point you could see the tiremarks that go in a zig-zag down the entire street – I can’t imagine anyone seriously thought they could get down that street. I find it intimidating on dry pavement! Considering I didn’t see anyone wrapped around the traffic circle in the center, I’m assuming they’re okay. Stupid, but okay.

JenVMemberPDieter, you live right up the street from me. I saw the condition of that street this morning and said NO WAY. Lucky for me, I am at the bottom of that hill. :P

PDieterParticipantending up in the traffic circle
(photo deleted, too big)
(last year)
I ended up hooking the trees to my truck a week later and stood them up again…they seem fine and perhaps large enough to stand up to future abuse.

MrJTMemberEvery now and then, I forget how slick the moss is on the South sidewalk there, and end up on my can… Maybe we’ll walk it tonight and see if the ice is easier to negiotiate.

WSBKeymasterHey, sorry to be the usual wet blanket or whatever the corresponding term is these days, but there was a photo in this thread that spilled way over to the sidebar. PLEASE keep them to under 500 pixels wide. I would prefer 450 or less but 500 doesn’t break the design and spill into the sidebar that keeps the site going. Thank you …
