Can anyone recommend a realtor from the Jefferson Square Prudential office?

I recommend Jacob Menashe who is out of the Jefferson Square office (206-932-4500)…he’s a great lifelong WS guy and he will definitely work hard for you.

Rich, my specific realtor has now retired, but for what it’s worth, I had an outstanding experience with this office.

By the way, we used Jan as a buyer’s agent.

Tough to throw a name into the ring after a Menashe, but Drew McGougan did me right on my WS home purchase. Not sure if he’s still there, but he was in 2007….

I think it is interesting that two of you prefaced it by saying “not sure if they still work there”. If these realtors were good at their jobs, they would be reaching out to all their current and past clients atleast every other month. And in this economy, every month.

    Just an observation.

My agent did keep in touch after the sale, but the market started going sideways not long after and there was no way in Hades we were going to make a move in any direction. I received my Mariners calendar and magnets, and know that he and I are on fine terms. I would contact him if I needed any real estate assistance.

I stand by my statement that Drew McGougan did me right on my home sale and purchase.

Ken Arkills, His cell number is 206.310.3670

We have used him to buy and sell two different homes. He calls a couple time a year, and is in constant communication by mail, he grew up in the area, and knows his stuff !

I have requested to not be contacted. Not needing their services right now and feel like it’s a waste of paper and postage.

Is there a specific reason you are leaning towards the Prudential office? We have worked with west seattle based Scott Monroe (from the Windermere office) a couple of different times. We have always been very pleased with what he has done for us. He has his own website, and defin. knows the real esate business.

beachdrivegirl: just a process of elimination. I already have the info I need on others, and am still comparing, I just needed info on these folks.

    But thanks for the tip.

Are you kidding? The last thing I would want is the real estate agent stalking me with junk mail. It’s bad enough having all the unsolicited ones stuffing my box with their cutesy swag (everything from cookie recipes to Valentine’s Day candy!) A real turn off.

Besides,if your agent has done their job, you’ll be happily nested into your home and neighborhood, not looking for a new one.

Jan Deeds sends a Holiday card every year (a nice one). That’s a tasteful, professional way of keeping in touch.

I’m not so sure why you’re focused on the Prudential office… or any real estate agent for that matter. Have you heard of Redfin? http://www.redfin.com We used them to buy our current home 6 months ago and I would use them again and again (if I were planning to move again and again…) If you know the area and just know anything in general they’re the way to go! Think about money in your pocket in the end. When you use them to buy a home they refund 1/2 of their 3% commission back to the buyer. The money we received we used to buy new carpet in our basement, refinish our upstairs hardwood floors and we still have money left for furniture! They’re an online real estate company and I’m telling you they are the future. We received the same support and advice that you get from a traditional real estate agent but the key is that they are not working on commission, so they want to make sure you’re happy and not just out to get the biggest commission. We used a traditional real estate agent to buy our first home that WE found (not her). With the internet you can do so much on your own. And in this economy put the money back in your pocket. Good luck.

IN #12 Rich already said he had the info on the other agents..perhaps Redfin is included.

I agree on Redfin as a buyers agent but actually I never understand why anyone needs a buyer agent..not used where I’m from. They’re not free as people think…the sellers give them the check but who gives the sellers the check?

As regards Redfin as a sellers agent I haven’t heard much feeedback anyone?

I’ve been working with Ken Arkills and he has been wonderful – taking the time to explain selling strategies, available when I call, and totally professional. Give him a call, you won’t regret it!
