ChristineBMemberHello, our son will go to Thurgood Marshall 1st grade in fall and we are looking for other Thurgood Marshall families to meet over the summer. Does not have primarily 1st grade your child is going to as we think it might be nice to know at least some friendly faces on the bus or for recess. :-)

smokeycretin9ParticipantHi. Our daughter will be headed to Marshall for 3rd grade. It will be new for her too. I know there are other families on the board who’s children are going there too. Lets try to get everyone together.

vsParticipantOur daughter is headed to 2nd, and she’d love to meet up too.

wsmama71MemberOur daughter is returning to TM next year for 2nd grade, and we would be happy to join a meet up. Why don’t we pick a Saturday afternoon this summer to meet at Lincoln Park?

ArborHeightsMomParticipantOur son will be starting 4th grade at Thurgood Marshall next year, we would love to join in on a play date!

ChristineBMemberWe’ll wait another week and then set a date for June (via doodle). If you know or meet other TM families please let them know as well. Lincoln Park or Camp Long would work great for us. How about a family picnic?

laurie206MemberThat sounds fun. My son will be new to TM and starting 3rd grade, so we’d love to join you.

ChristineBMemberTotal slacker, I am (took me 2 weeks instead of 1). :-)
Here comes the doodle poll to find a date that will work for all or most of us. Feel free to forward and share with other TM families.
June 18, 2012 at 3:27 am #757280
ChristineBMemberI tallied our poll and would like to pick next Saturday 6/23 from 3 to 6 pm for our first get together. Where should we meet? Lincoln Park? Zipline playground? Or waterfront? Or Camp Long meadow? Any suggestions?
June 22, 2012 at 4:24 pm #757281
Laurie97MemberAck! The 23rd snuck up on me and I don’t think I can make it. If you have another meet-up on a later Saturday, my soon-to-be 3rd grader and I would love to be there.

ChristineBMemberWe will meet tomorrow at 3 pm at the Zip line playground (one closer to ferry dock – but not on the water front) at Lincoln Park. We (Tim 1st grader, curly red hair, brown-blue striped hoodie + family) will be there from 3 to 4.30 pm depending on weather and participation and are happy to meet up.
For more details and future play dates for 1st graders see emails from Sina. Her email contact was posted on the official TM welcome letter.
For future play dates for all grades we can agree on another date for Mid-July here.

momoftwoboysMemberHope the Lincoln Park meet up was a success! We were out of town and would love to meet up on a future date. (My son is going into 2nd grade.) Thanks for organizing!
