I have had large, heavy plastic boxes stored on my back deck. (nothing fragile or valuable)which was fine through the summer, winter brings problems with moisture/cold as well. I really can’t afford a storage unit. My landlord will let me put a really small storage shed on the deck if I could find the right size. Any suggestions? Thanks!
There are lots of options for storage sheds depending on what size you need. You can buy plastic storage boxes from Home Depot, Lowes or Sears from bench sized with a flip top all the way up to garden shed sized with locking doors and shelves inside. Check out their web sites under outdoor storage to get an idea of what you need.
If you watch Craigslist diligently you may find what you need for fraction of the cost of a new one. That’s where I found a perfect sized Rubbermaid storage box for keeping firewood dry and handy on my back deck.
