JoBParticipantkootch..
the real joke is that you think this is funny
“Bartender… send one to Daisy Mae… with my compliments”
i love it when you make my case
June 6, 2012 at 6:45 pm #760117
kootchmanMemberwho’s joking? You can send one to Abner too y’ know.
June 8, 2012 at 2:25 pm #760118
JiggersMemberMiss America? I loved that song and that album The Grand Illusion from Styx. So many good songs on that album alone. They were a damn good rock band at one time.

JoBParticipantkootch..
unlike you, i think the most interesting part of a newscast is intelligent well informed commentary on the news…
That’s lets out lil Abner types for me…
they are far too pleased with themselves to shut up
and there isn’t enough booze in the world to overcome that

HMC RichParticipantBeer goggles always made everyone look better. Male or Female.
What is scary is the little girl pageants. But I think I like the Victoria Secret fashion show better. They don’t have to talk.
June 9, 2012 at 9:25 am #760121
JanSParticipantisn’t it weird that we don’t get to see a pageant with men with 6-pack abs in speedos parading back and forth across the stage..
June 9, 2012 at 9:28 am #760122
HMC RichParticipantThe Brazilians might…http://malepageants.blogspot.com/

what about just the news? dry, boring, and informative, kronkite-style. you know – actual reportage instead of blog-mining and opinion. i don’t need english translated to me by someone who wants me to hear it his way.
you can keep the corporate commentary, paid news “stories,” and other marketing gimmicks.
and you can keep miss USA. dumb is a turn-off.
June 10, 2012 at 1:56 am #760126
JoBParticipantredblack..
i confess. unless i happen to be in the car when some form of NPR news is on..
i don’t listen to the news.
if it’s important, someone tells me ;-0

kootchmanMemberwear you iPod ear buds….. with a dramatized reading of your favorite .. Tales of Two Cities… and watch. Not listening, and nodding is the oldest , time tested stratagem ever devised by and for men… even when poring over the morning clay cuniforms has this strategy worked. It’s ageless.
“and you can keep miss USA. dumb is a turn-off”
June 11, 2012 at 2:00 am #760128
JoBParticipantkootch..
if you don’t hear what people are saying
you aren’t listening
it really is that simple
June 11, 2012 at 4:29 am #760129
kootchmanMemberuh huh…. uh huh…………
June 11, 2012 at 2:07 pm #760130
JoBParticipantkootch..
don’t you feel just a little hypocritical for picking on a young woman for her doublespeak
when you quote politicians and pundits doing the same every day?
she only has the opportunity to vote
those bozos get to set the rules you live by
June 11, 2012 at 3:39 pm #760131
kootchmanMemberThe bozos who set the rules… seem to come from your side of the political spectrum… you love em. The more the better right? Pretty soon none of us will need the rational brain. Just a shopping cart with the “rules” book. It wasn’t doublespeak… it was the profund ignorance… I can understand not understanding … say the variants of measuring the money supply… but not knowing the VP? Voting is a right, it should be coupled in some way to the basic obligation of being a citizen. It wasn’t doublespeak…it was dumb, uninformed and yea… it is scary that they do vote…
June 11, 2012 at 3:46 pm #760132
JanSParticipantagain, bullpucky…goes both ways, kind sir…rule setting does not always come from the left…get over yourself..
and yes…remember this was the Miss USA pageant, not Miss America. Miss USA contestants are there because they look good, not sound good. Miss America contestants are usually a little brighter (usually, not always). Kootch, just enjoy the eye candy, and turn the sound down..

kootchmanMemberHUH!!!! This administration had printed more rules and regulations to take out the northern temperate forests… thousands upon thousands of them… reams of them. Wait… you lambs will rue this administration… we spend a trillion more that we make… that’s borrowed money. A little short… print. In every single case in our history, no exceptions, … a period of inflation follows… It is a lag indicator.. but it comes. The Johnson war on poverty and Viet Nam spending came home to roost … right on Jimmy Carter. Nixon tried wage and price controls.. which deferred the monster … but it was just bigger and meaner when it arrived. The perfect storm.. hyper inflation and a contracting economy… stagflation. we have a window of grace… sorta. The Euro is so screwed up we can sell Treasuries at 1.8% yield… what will you do when treasuries return to 5.6.7 %? JaN and JoB… we won’t protect the weakest.. we will protect the host animal… keeping it alive. You are like the cowboy who wants all the water in the desert…. the horse… ya gotta water the horse too.. it’s the one that covers the most ground in a day.
June 11, 2012 at 5:34 pm #760134
JanSParticipantnow, back to our original programming…
June 12, 2012 at 3:21 am #760135
JoBParticipantkootch..
the big money parasites are killing the host as we speak..
sadly.. we are the host.
