I note the post from 2007, but looking for an updated WiFi map for the West Seattle Junction. Or just a recco for a decent bar with WiFi (West Five was my first pick, but they don’t have WiFi).

    Thanks in advance for ideas!

I believe the bar at Maharaja offers free wi-fi as well.

    Cheers!

I wish Intel was in Seattle to hook us up with free wi-fi in King County like they do in Portland. Ugghhh… No wi-fi is free helpermonkey. You just can’t walk into a business and leather butt yourself and use their connection for free in this City. I had security come up to me in a common seating area in downtown were people eat lunch and mingle. He told me that I couldn’t just sit there and fire up my mobile computer unless I purchased coffee or food. What a joke.

Maha and the Rocksport have good connections.

I let you guys know the unuser-friendly place that security told me to *off was across Westlake Park were Chase Bank,Borders,Starbucks, all connect to the main street level lunch seating area between 4th and 3rd avenues. I was just waiting for my bus and had some time to check my email. Hibernating in a public place on your laptop is considered loitering by security. At the Washington State Convention Center, security told me that I had only one hour of usage time. My hard working tax-dollars paid for this piece of crap building I thought. It my right to use the connection however long I want to and not to be told by some wanna be policeman I have limited time usage. I guess it all comes down to your appearance. If I looked remotley dressed like a downtown professional, I’m sure they wouldn’t have bothered me. There have been a lot of unser-friendly places, but if I jotted them all down here, I may take all the sites bandwith. I must be the only one who’s had a problem or the stink eye.
