Hi there, looking for a recommendation for a quality optometrist located in West Seattle.
I’ve had lasik in the past and now my eyes have changed a bit so I’m want to know what my options are an also someone who I can get the best exam from.

    Thank you.

Only place we’ve been is West Seattle Optix, and it was… not a good experience. They keep ridiculously sporadic hours, are vague about prices, and in general decidedly unhelpful. Haven’t found a good local place yet, but thought I’d chime in with what little I do know. G’luck!

    PS
Actually I’ve found Costco, of all places, to be pretty decent for simple eye stuff–you don’t even need to be a member to avail yourself of their services, and while they’re not exactly local they’re only a quick jaunt (well, depending on time of day) across the bridge

I went to West Seattle Optics for YEARS, but when I tried to book an appointment last year, I was told that they were booked solid for the following six weeks!!! After doing lots of research, I decided to go into town to Urban Optix in SLU. Although I liked Dr. Gormley well enough, after meeting Dr. Lee at Urban Optics, I have come to the opinion that she is a better doctor. Despite having a growing issue with dry eyes and despite having raised that issue with Dr. Gormley, it wasn’t until I met Dr. Lee that I learned the cause (my rosacea!!!) and she gave me much better and more complete information and options than Dr. Gormley ever did. This year, I’m dealing with emerging presbyopia, and she took the time to really explain my options. She is personable and competent and stays current on developments in her field. Her staff is also stellar. I’ve found fairly easy street parking each time I’ve been, so for me, I will travel out of the neighborhood for this vital service.
