Local Movers / Haulers?

Hi all!

I’m soon going to be moving into a new apartment just up the road from me in the Junction. Normally I would just rent a car and do all the hauling myself and with friends, but due to a medical issue I’m not supposed to do a lot of heavy lifting, and my friends have other commitments. Basically I just need a vehicle and 3-4 people to help me (A) move some suitcases and boxes from my old place to the new one and (B) help me unload the rest of my stuff from a shipping pod into the new unit. Part A needs to happen by the 20th; part B could happen later but ideally around the same time.

Any recommendations?

Hi, Kathleen. Unfortunately, due to chronic health issues, I am unable to help with your move, but just wanted to congratulate you on finding a place! I remember your post from when you were looking, and it seemed like you didn’t really have a whole heck of a lot of time to do so.

Hi Kathleen: I moved in the last month and used New Horizons moving Co located in Burien — I used them after seeing them recommended and highly regarded on a couple of local FB pages. Josh, the owner was very responsive and gave me a very accurate estimate and put the exact right crew on my job for my items and needs. I was very happy with them and would recommend them and use them again. I used a different company 3 years ago I wouldn’t call back. New Horizons, Josh, 206-483-8071. I had a 3 man crew at $140/hr, 2 hr. minimum. They did a local move and also trip to storage.
