I need a Green Carpet Cleaner? Any Suggestions?

I finally closed on my new house! YAY! But the privious owners left the carpets looking like a dog kennel! I’m really hoping to find a Green carpet Cleaner if there is one that exists. Any ideas anyone?

Biokleen makes a green carpet cleaner which you could put into a carpet cleaning machine. I haven’t used it yet, but am happy with all their other products we’ve tried (including their carpet spot cleaner). We got it at: http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=189741&catid=134692

I know there are green carpet cleaning services out there, but haven’t used them personally.

Im not sure how green it is but a da burns or a stanley steamer type company who only use hot water extraction will do a good job to get your carpets clean. I ask for no soap or solution for the reason that I know what a soapy residue left on a carpet does, it attracts more dirt, so you have to clean more often. I should add a ” truck mounted” hot water extraction is the preffered method of cleaning to keep your warranties intact. Aviator this wouldnt apply to you but I used this method at a house many years back on a rental house I was moving out of and it was a last ditch effort before buying new carpet and I was amazed at how clean the carpets came. It saved me replacing the carpet for the lanlord.!!!

We used J&R Carpet Cleaning (253-617-0334) when we moved into our house and he was terrific. Great reviews before we used him and we’d give him one too. Ex military guy that is very burly but extremely nice and considerate. Really cleaned our carpets well and used his green alternative shampoo so we felt a lot better. VERY good rates and he will do a bit extra for free if needed. Hope this helps!

Thanks everyone I called J&R Carpet Cleaning at 1:30pm today and one of thier techs showed up at 3pm to clean my house! Your right, these guys are AWESOME! I swear my carpets look brand new! And you were right, they are totally green which is what I was hoping for. I think I got the same tech you got Homer, because this guys bicepts were as big as my head! But he was VERY nice, considerate & he took the time to not only answer all of my questions about thier company, but while he was cleaning, he took extra steps to ensure that the job was done thoughly, and the final product looks amazing! It looks so nice I don’t want the movers to walk on the carpets on Tuesday when they deliver my funiture! Anyways, thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

The Aviator, GREAT! I really like J&R, just friendly and knowledgeable people! And yes, the guys biceps are the size of Brazil! I think they do air duct cleaning as well! Sorry, sounds like I work for them but I really like helping the little guys that do a great job and are enviro. friendly. Glad it worked for you!
