Patti LeaMemberI have a 4 year old son, and sometimes he just gets tired when we walk. So I am looking for a big kid stroller, that fits more then 45lbs! He is also tall, so the regular (baby) strollers do not work.

tttParticipantI highly recommend a Chariot stroller. They’re expensive, but worth it. They hold up to 100lbs. They have a jogger wheel attachment, and bike attachment that can be purchased separately. We primarily use the stroller wheels on the front. They work well in all types of weather (even snow with the jogger wheel on front) and one model has a rain guard too. They are very durable, well-built and have very little resistance when pushing the stroller–nice for WSeattle hills. They are sold at REI. Unfortunately they are difficult to find used since they are used for so many years! I have friends that have a 6yr old that still uses theirs and they’ve had their stroller since she was an infant. Good luck!

hollyplaceParticipantI have been shopping for one for my 4-year-old. We are planning a trip to Walt Disney World this spring. So far the best ones I have found are a Maclaren up to 55lbs and tall enough to support the head and keep feet off the ground. I am also considering the City Mini by babyogger. It goes up to 50lbs

swimcatMemberSingle BOB’s go up to 100 lbs I tihnk. A tall 4 year old might be a bit squeezed into it though, but it can definitely handle the weight.

GinaParticipantDon’t forget the really nice lightweight folding wagons. Good for the older child that thinks strollers are ‘baby’. Great for theme parks and fairs and festivals (flat walks). There are all kinds of accessories that can be added. Covers and seats and coolers…

MsGMemberI second the Chariot – though quite an investment, it is amazing! It rolls like a feather and turns on a dime. I would sell mine, but we’re not ready to give it up!
