I don’t have the box anymore – any advice on where to get a box for a 200c wheelset and how to ship? Online search shows the cost (to Texas) to be outrageous.

    .

Maybe a better question is: What’s the best way to ship an awkward but not heavy package, somewhat fragile, and where might I find a box for a wheelset?

    .

Thanks in advance for any advice

amalia, have you tried contacting any of the area bike shops; Alki Bike & Board, Cycle U, or Aaron’s?

They may have a box lying around, and/or could give shipping hints.

Otherwise, maybe try calling Alki Mail & Dispatch, (close to AB&B), or Mailboxes West, (same building as Aaron’s)

I would go to a bike shop and see if they have a box that will fit it. Then I would go to a shipping place (maybe mailboxes etc, ups, admiral mail place on admiral use to be a hair salon)and see which is the best way to ship it.

I just called Cycle U and, with their usual steller customer service, they are going to hunt around for a box for me. I once got a bike box from Aaron’s and they charged me $20 (for 2). Looking at $100 to ship, I’m hoping for a freebie box.

    LOVE Cycle U!

Cycle U exceeded expectations, as usual. Got a box (they grinned at and declined my offer to pay), and they even offered to ship it for me if I encounter only the outrageous post prices I saw on the interwebs. We are SO lucky to have them here!

    LOVE. CYCLE. U.
