SonomaParticipantBoring topic, but I’d appreciate any recommendations. I need a reasonably priced, honest furnace-repair company. We are getting heat, except when I turn it off via the thermostat and later turn it back on again. Then we get the “rotten eggs” smell in the basement and we have to turn the furnace ignition switch off and back on. I looked at Yelp and CitySearch, but most companies seem to have an equal number of raves and rants. Last time we had a furnace problem, PSNRG wasn’t much help. And a Burien company wasn’t either.

berthaParticipantI just had my furnace repaired by James Heating and More 206-923-1876 and had a fabulous experience. Great customer service and James is a wonderful, caring guy. As a matter of fact they were going to refer me to the furnace dealer until they learned the dealer would charge me $300 and they said no way. James came out at 6:00 p.m. and had my furnace working by 7:00 and charged me a $100. Highly recommend him.
I would be careful though because that rotten egg smell is gas leaking from somewhere and that sounds dangerous. I would have this looked at ASAP.

AimParticipantAbundant heat in South Park is good. Good reviews online, and when I called to get their recommendation on an oil company, the co-owner spent a good 30 min helping me understand how oil heat works and what I should know about my furnace, etc. they got nothing out of helping me, except the fact that I’ll recommend them to everyone I know.
