fishmonsterParticipantHi,
We are wanting to move our son closer to home in West Seattle for full-day preschool starting in the fall. He is currently at a preschool location closer to our work and we are hoping to meet more friends/families in the neighborhood. He is 4 years old and will enter Kindergarten in Fall 2015.
Any recommendations in more northern part of West Seattle?

sam-cParticipantbump-
I know they are out there, I just don’t have any experience or recommendations on them. good luck!
Isn’t the Cottage School- at Gatewood elem. full day? maybe some WSB’ers have some comments on that place.
the Intergenerational learning center at Providence has full day program (don’t know if it is pre-K but I do know their wait list is legen- wait for it, wait for it, rather wait ON it…….dary)

mommymParticipantShorewood Christian has a wonderful pre-K program. Very small enrollment and fabulous teachers !

jissyParticipantHowever the Shorewood program is not a full day which I think the OP is looking for.

austinovaMemberHello, does anyone else have any suggestions? I am also looking for a full-day program in the North Admiral/Belvidere area. Thank you!

MercyMoiParticipantThe West Seattle Y has a quality preK program! And I think a waiting list so you’d want to act fast. Our kid was right ready for K after his year with Teacher Justin (who well deserves his little cult following!). As an added bonus to their prek curriculum the preschoolers get Spanish time, activity time in the Y gym, and *swimming lessons*. Not a bad deal! The best part for us was the caring community and the values the Y promotes. If you can get in, you’ll enjoy a terrific program.

ChitoseaMemberThere is Alki Beach Academy which is relatively new and has full day options for daycare & preschool. Two of our child’s teachers teach there and we like them very much.

Also, there is EuropaKids International which is a language immersion daycare & preschool. It has a comprehensive curriculum for preschoolers as they learn two languages while learning skills for kindergarten. They too have full day programs.

linda08ParticipantA bit further south but well worth the drive to Community School of West Seattle!

kgdlgParticipantThere are really only a few full day pre k options with before and after school care in WS (7am-6pm)
We go to Cottage School at Gatewood and really like it.
Also just heard mount st Vincent has a pre k opening right now. They are a great program too.
Have heard great things about community school and Fauntleroy too.

wimsiklParticipantNo thorough search is complete without checking out West Seattle Montessori for kids age 2.5 through 8th grade. Further south but worth the drive as many of us north-enders know. After school care till 6pm.

BCRParticipantCommunity School of West Seattle or Fauntleroy Children’s Center. Both awesome!
