Does anyone know if there’s a place in West Seattle where I can buy fondant?
You could inquire at the South Seattle CC Pastry Shop. They could probably hook you up with some. Or:
Sur La Table has a “kit” http://www.surlatable.com/product/id/160032.do?mr:trackingCode=A867AEDC-D781-DE11-B7F3-0019B9C043EB&mr:referralID=NA, they’re in the Pike Place market on the corner of Pine, across from Post Alley.
I’m assuming you mean icing fondant rather than poured fondant?
Some place like Metropolitan Market or Thriftway might have a fondant ‘kit’ in their baking products section as well.
Thanks for the suggestions. As it turns out, I think I’m going to Michael’s after all – there’s another store down there I need to go to anyway.
I was just at JFHenry-in the junction. They have two brands of Fondant in their upstairs shop!

yes, there is an online retail store called Cake Supplies R us, they are located in puyallup and have local pickup on Saturday and Sunday, you can order online and save on shipping by picking it up.
Have you checked with Cosco? I know they have humongous buckets of frosting.
Thriftway has a fondant mix… not sure if this is what you are after.
But I have seen it at craft stores.

Make your own cheap.
I had to do this everyday for two years as well as make croissants. I have never had arms that big since.
Some cooking is a young persons job.
Guys… the original post was written about a year ago; odds are the OP has found fondant by now.
