Associated Recreation Council (ARC), in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation is looking to hire two instructors that will lead field hockey camp for 5-12 year olds by teaching the basics of field hockey. Knowledge of the game of field hockey as well as experience coaching or teaching youth in the sport is encouraged.
Basic duties:
•Assist Director with planning and implementing sports programming for your designated sport.
•Engage youth in appropriate drills and games for your designated sport, focusing on the fundamentals and good sportsmanship.
•Maintain positive relationships with families, staff, and the general public.
•Assist with administrative reports, such as attendance and activity logs, accident/incident reports, and hot sheets.
•Ensure that equipment is inventoried and stored properly.
•Communicate efficiently with supporting staff.
•Demonstrate exceptional attendance.
Requirements:
•Current First Aid/CPR certification and valid WA state driver’s license or ID.
•Must pass a WSP criminal background check.
Position is temporary, full time from Monday, August 25th,-Friday, August 29th, 2014. Successful candidate must be available for trainings and workshops prior to start date.
