macjusticeMemberI have a smaller house (1200 sq ft), and I’m looking to replace the oil furnace with a heat pump system. I’m leaning toward a ductless system instead of a central system, for the lower installation price and better efficiency.
Anybody have any opinions on these systems, or recommendations for who to install them?

Talaki34Participant“Experience with ductless heat pump systems?”
This was a thread about two years ago. You can click on my profile, follow it back and look for it.
This will be my third year with the system and I love it!
MJA Mechanical installed mine and I would highly recommend them. 206-300-1542 Cell or 253-631-0774 office.

macjusticeMemberThanks! These forums are kind of a disaster for this kind of research, if it didn’t happen in the last few days it might as well be lost to time.

Talaki34ParticipantI agree and the “Search” function isn’t working for me.
On my profile the thread is Item #28 on page 6. Maybe that will help a bit. :)
If you want to see the unit or talk a little about it, let me know how to contact you.

anonymeParticipantThe City of Seattle is installing these for free if you meet income requirements. Check online at the Seattle Dept. of Housing website; it may be part of the Homewise program.

BCRParticipantI don’t have a personal recommendation but I know someone who distributes them and he says they are the way to go 100%! The ductless systems he said are taking over their business because of their cost and efficiency.
Probably not too helpful but thought it was worth mentioning I have heard nothing but good things about them.
