Anybody know where I might find an oddball, older power supply for a Dell Latitude L400? It’s a three-prong input, which apparently isn’t very common.

Tried RePC downtown and a couple pawn shops, but no dice.

CM, I might still have the one for my old dead Dell. I will check when I go home.

    That would rock. Thanks!

It’s adapter model ADP-50SB RevC. (Which is all greek to me)

I might have a couple of these but I have not declared the attached laptop “dead” yet and have not robbed enough parts from it to part out the adapter.

Order one from amazon if you don’t find a free one.

Also, Seattle Laptop had a drawer full of similar ones the last time I needed one for a customer. I think they keep them when a laptop lets the magic smoke out.

19v dells are not really that old I don’t think. I have a couple of 14v that would not push anything newer than 1998.

    Thanks all.

JenV, that doesn’t look like ther right plug unfortunately, but thanks for digging it up for me.

Sounds like I’ve got a lead on one at work I can borrow to see if this notebook actually works before I buy one.

    Thanks again!
