The Kenney is a not-for-profit, faith-based Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) in West Seattle that has been serving seniors since 1901. This full time position is responsible for preparing and serving nutritious, high quality and appetizing meals for all residents
The ideal candidate will have four years cooking experience at a minimum. Experience or knowledge cooking for a retirement community lifestyle is a plus. Preference may be given to those candidates with industry experience.
The qualified candidate will be able to read, write, comprehend and interpret instructions, policies, recipes and regulations. The candidate will be able to communicate orally and/or in writing with residents, co-workers, families and the public. The Kenney is looking for someone who can plan and organize work, set priorities, multi-task and keep focused while portraying a calm and professional demeanor at all times, including the time of the rush just prior to meal times.
This non-exempt, hourly position reports to the Executive Chef.
