I don’t know of any place, because the Washington state law bars smoking within 25′ of an entrance.

…but if you’re willing to risk a $250,000 fine and up to 10 years in prison anyway, why worry about Washington’s toothless 25′ rule?

Definitely can’t smoke outside at Beveridge. Might still be able to out back of Loretta’s in south park but I’m really not certain.

I think I have noticed what looks like a “covered area” at the Tug Tavern, and also at some little dive bar on Ambaum down around 110th?

A much better bet would be Big Al’s Brewery. They have this huge covered tent area and it is at least 25 feet from the door.

From what I have heard and seen, it appears the 25 foot rule is not a very high priority crime.

Belltown. Plenty of bars there where you can smoke outside and take your drink with you.

Pricey but with a great liquor selection, is Whiskey Bar with a big patio in front, a couple of blocks up Second St.from Belltown.

The only smoking tolerant bar I know of in west Seattle was Redline and it closed about a month ago.

I miss the Corner Inn. :-(

Roxy’s/Roxbury Lanes has a covered smoking area. So does the Chelan Cafe – and you can even take your drinks out with you.

kevin: i love big al’s (nee pacific rim’s) patio.

as the law is written, i believe that any patio which encompasses an area sufficiently greater than 25 feet from a door, window, or vent is fair game for smoking.

with the owner’s consent, of course.

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone! Will likely be trying Big Als based on the recommendations here.
