    Yum–AERO bars!

I like the Husky Deli for ice cream and candy. I buy lots of foodie-type gifts and stocking stuffers there.

It feels like a piece of old West Seattle, which is disappearing before our eyes.

Because Cost Plus has Smarties and Aero bars and Curley Wurleys and Malteasers and Lion bars and KitKats and wine gums. Especially the Smarties. They must come in a tube.

On May 4 at the Sustainable West Seattle Festival, there was an informative panel discussion on West Seattle Transit Issues that maybe a dozen people attended. I had heard they were taping it for the Seattle Channel, and just found a video of the event on their website. You’ll need Real Player to watch it, and it runs almost 1-1/2 hours.

According to Citysearch.com, Sunday is the only night Husky Deli closes at 7pm. They are open until 9pm every other night of the week. That sure sounds reasonable to me!

I love Illusions too. I get my hair cut by Rita. She’s great and so is the rest of the staff. I first went there 5 years ago because of their no tip policy and because their employees were actual ’employees with benefits’. Glad I went.

I love Husky Deli and I love their sandwiches. 7pm is pretty early but I guess they need to close sometime and it is their store.

Me too and I think I’m part of it.

Wes, I think you’ve tried talking religion to me before. You seem like a nice guy but c’mon. All I did was ask you to not define me by your beliefs. If you want to come on here and profess to the world that you’re a sinner, have at it. That is your world view and you’re entitled to have it and celebrate it for all I care.

To declare on a public forum that we’re all sinners, is imposing your beliefs onto me. That is offensive.

vincent, quite different line of Cadbury products carried in Canada versus what you can get in Ireland. (Specifically Choco Hoops.)

As to Cost Plus-why would I go to Southcenter when Husky Deli carries my treats from abroad? Another reason I like WS and Husky, it’s all right here in my ‘hood.

They have a section on their website

    http://www.westseattlethriftway.com

slugged something like “recently fulfilled requests,” just like what happened to you.

Some business website are fairly static but there’s lots of lively contact on the WST site worth exploring, IMO — TR

I wrote to Morgan Street Thriftway asking them to carry Smith Brothers milk. They considered my request and now are carrying it in their dairy case. How cool is that??

Gina, I finally made it to PFI, almost went right past the place. Pretty good prices, great selection of import type items, and definitely nice because of no frills.

JT, I am not saying that at all. I am asking you if I took your statement out of context or really believed it said something else, that is, not what you had implied, would I have misinterpreted it?

proud athiest weighing in here. This is all about someone putting themselves in a position where a child trusts them – and abusing that trust. It could be a priest, a rabbi, daycare provider, party clown or a US Congressman….it’s all the same.
