one cool and best thing is Jesus loves and wants to answer your prayers, Just ask in Jesus name and don’t be shy you will soon discover what prayer you can get answers too. Sometimes prayers are answered in seconds sometimes lots of stuff need to be done to make your prayer happen. Also if you are sick ask Jesus to heal you, Jesus did not stop doing that when he rose back to Heaven.

Hello all! I’ve had no luck so far posting this elsewhere, so I’ve decided to try here too. Anxious!

I’m in desperate need of a garage or warehouse-type space (or barn/pole barn) to upgrade the suspension and bushings on my work truck ASAP! My driveway is on a steep incline, and I need a level surface…preferably out of the rain.

Looking at a couple days to a week, depending on how it goes, working mostly afternoons up to 8PM.

Hoping to find a spot within relatively short bus distance to SW Seattle, since it’s my daily driver and I’ll probably need to leave it overnight at least once. Air tools may be required at times, so I’ll need electric to run the compressor, which does make a bit of noise.

I’ve got many trade items available, can offer a work exchange, or pay cash by the day.

Available for barter are many nice household items – décor and furnishings, art paintings & prints, quality kitchenware, vintage vinyl, heavy duty storage bins, men’s & women’s fashions, performance golf club set, nearly new Honda lawnmower, commercial floor scrubber/buffer, electronics, French patio doors, or just tell me what you’re looking for and I’ll tell you if I have it!

If a labor exchange works better for you, I’m a “jack of all trades” with experience in property maintenance and construction, auto repair, digital imaging, photography, graphic design, video editing, web development, network engineering, computer and electronics repair, and more. Just tell me what you need done, and I’ll tell you if I can do it!

Willing to pay a bit of cash by the day if you’re not needing anything else, or some combination of cash + trade?.

Now, I know there’s a place in Kirkland called Stew’s Self Service Garage that rents auto repair bays with lifts and tool use for $50/hr, but I have all my own tools and jacks, and can’t afford $50/day, much less for a measly hour!

I’m very eager to get working on this – those gaps on I5 south of downtown have nearly destroyed my suspension, and the poor old girl can’t take much more of a beating :(

A workbench w/ vice would also be enormously helpful, and if you happen to have one, please let me know. Otherwise I may ask to construct a temporary one, or possibly build a permanent one in exchange for use of the garage?. I’m open to all mutually beneficial scenarios!

    Thanks for reading!

Accordion Syncing: It’s “thing” like Milli Vanilli with an accordion. I’ve seen them everywhere in my travels. Any half decent musician can tell they’re faking it. A bit of an insult to those who play. A nuisance anything above “1” on the volume.

Has anyone else noticed lately that the Hummingbirds are not coming to your feeders? We’ve always had hummers at our 2 feeders even during the cold snap that we had a few months ago but lately we have seen none. They’d even come bathe in our fountain…but none.
    Anyone else have missing hummingbirds?

Do you love Seattle? Do you want to be part of a company committed to making it safer? Come join Sound Seismic, the city’s foremost earthquake retrofitting company!

We are looking for carpentry-minded individuals who are ready to get their hands dirty and learn our craft. If you share our passion for keeping Seattleites safe, then we’d love to meet you! We offer on-the-job training, and while no experience in seismic retrofitting is required, if you have construction experience (framing, concrete, roofing, siding—or similar trades where both production efficiency and quality work are equally important) even better!

You may have seen our yellow trucks around town.

Seismic Retrofitting is the process of making homes SAFER in the event of an earthquake. We install plywood shear panels, bolt houses to their foundations, and use other methods to make homes more STRUCTURALLY SOUND. Get to know us better at http://www.soundseimsic.com

Seismic Retrofitting is exacting and technical work, but is also relatively quick to learn and become proficient at. We offer on-the-job training. No experience in retrofitting is required, although you should be comfortable with construction and power carpentry tools. Experience in the framing, concrete, roofing, or siding (or similar trades where production efficiency and quality work are equally important) will help shorten your learning curve for retrofitting.

We offer full benefits and pay competitive wages. Top-notch individuals will have opportunities for rapid advancement! We are growing and need staff carpenters as well as project leads.

    The ideal candidate:

    Is reliable and dependable.
Has experience in roofing, concrete, framing, siding, OR SIMILAR TRADES.
Is well organized and plans ahead.
Has a clean and presentable appearance.
Communicates well, verbally and in writing, with peers, clients, trade contractors, suppliers, and supervisors.
Takes pride in a job well done.
Understands and appreciates the importance of running projects efficiently.
Focuses on solutions rather than problems: sees opportunities rather than obstacles.
Sees the value in paid holidays and vacations, retirement plan, and excellent health/dental/vision insurance.
Has a safe driving record and a valid WA driver’s license. We check.
Lives locally, and has reliable transportation
Wants to work for a company that is committed to training, and promotes from within.
Does not mind hard work in a challenging, noisy, sometimes dirty, environment.

Great questions aa. Here are my thoughts. Do I have data showing that drivers of unregistered cars are less safe? I do not. I suspect this to be the case but have no evidence. I also suspect that people driving without a valid license are less safe but again I have no data. Do I have data showing that uninsured drivers cause insurance rates to increase? Actually, I sort of do. I’m a State Farm auto customer. Itemized on my bill is the portion of my premium called “Uninsured/Under-insured.” I highly suspect State Farm has data that backs up this portion of my premium pays for the damage caused by drivers who either do not have insurance or who have inadequate insurance. Now I’m curious — do all insurance policies break this out?

So I’ll have to buy and register a car just to get gas to put in my weed eater, lawn mower, boat, jetski or snowmobile? So if I’m hauling a licensed and registered snowmobile behind my truck with expired tabs you’re going to have the attendant monitor me to make sure I only put fuel in the licensed vehicle and not the unregistered one? I am pretty sure that the folks that voted for $35 tabs AND the outspoken folks that weren’t too happy about mask and vaccine mandates aren’t going to be too hip on having to follow directions from a 21 year old 7-11 clerk at 2 in the morning.

I think your creative problem-solving energy might be better placed at trying to get folks to have actual readable license plates that aren’t covered with dark plastic, bike racks or missing entirely – at least that way they’d have to actually pay tolls when driving in the HOV lanes.
