why does being a successful businessman qualify anyone more for the senate than, say, a mechanic? or a farmer? or a plumber?

i just don’t see that as a credential. nor is being wealthy. as a matter of fact, that’s exactly what’s wrong with our government: wealthy politicians trying to run government like it’s a business.

tax revenue? business investment? heh. you don’t see blue collar folks trying to avoid taxes. we can’t afford the accountants. if we want a tax shelter, we just fail to file.

in other words, i think most republicans miss the point when it comes to the economy.
