Soon the West Seattle Light Rail project will demolish this pinnacle of music, art and food culture in our community. Many of our favorite local acts have honed their craft in Seattle’s Best Open Mic, and some of the biggest bands to ever come out of Seattle have played on their stage. The people that run the business will not be compensated for the loss of their location. Since they do not own the building, and there is no part of this Light Rail process to accommodate for them, one of Seattle’s beloved small venues is in jeopardy.

The community is launching benefit show after benefit show to fund-raise to help move The Skylark to keep them in the community. Join us for a night of all-ages fun, free tacos and music that all will love featuring the Singer/Songwriter Chuck Ratcliff, and the eminent Swinson and the Expedition and possibly other special guests.
