West Seattle Weekend Lineup: Road map to fun (in TWO ways)

wswllicon3.pngWhat we mean by that is: Our weekly list of Friday-Saturday-Sunday events is a “map” in its own right, but the big map activity this weekend happens tomorrow afternoon, when Snowstorm ’08 WSB mapmaking star Alice is leading an informal session on how to make Google Maps – that, and other activities including a big concert rescheduled from its snow-scuttled date, are all part of more than 30 events and activities in West Seattle this weekend, ahead:

SATURDAY AFTERNOON: Discovering A-Y-P: A Community Research Project at the Seattle Public Library’s West Seattle (Admiral) branch. 1-3 pm (read more here)

SATURDAY AFTERNOON: JOHN NILSEN in concert: John is a musician singer from Oregon. His music has a magical quality to it. Currently one of the Northwest’s largest selling musical artists, Nilsen has released 16 recordings which will be available at the concert. Nilsen is an innovative performer who creates an intimate repartee with his audience. He brings songs to life. From the bustle of a French café to the torrent of a raging stream, Nilsen’s music inspires us to look more carefully, to feel more deeply and to celebrate this life of ours. The concert is free though a free-will offering will be received.
