Northwest Wine Academy (at South Seattle College, WSB sponsor) is showcasing 4 new wines at their spring release event:
June 12, 13, 14 from 2-7 pm
Come join us as we release 4 new wines during our annual Spring Release, which happens to also be our 10 year anniversary!
South Seattle College’s Northwest Wine Academy (NWWA) invites the public to celebrate the “Food, Wine, Music & Books” Spring Release event from June 12-14. NWWA will release four new wines during the event and offer complimentary tastings from 2-7 pm daily, with each day bringing a new twist.
Thursday, June 12, is “Preview Day,” focused on tasting the new wines.
Friday, June 13, includes the NWWA Alumni Showcase where 15 alumni will share their creations from 4-6 pm.
Saturday, June 14, will include small bites created by South’s Culinary and Pastry Arts students paired with wine and a visit from the Seattle Public Library as part of their “Seattle Cooks” tour, where visitors can check out books from a tailored selection dealing with wine pairing, cooking and successful party hosting.
Seattle band “Runaway Sattelite” will perform on Friday and Saturday evenings.
The event is held at South’s 9000 square foot wine academy where classes are offered in wine making, wine marketing and sales, and food and wine pairing.
The following wines will be releases and available for tasting:
– NWWA Rosé, Columbia Valley
– NWWA Muscat, Horse Heaven Hills
– NWWA Convocation White blend (Riesling, Roussanne, Viognier, Chardonnay and Muscat)
– NWWA Convocation Red blend (Carmenére, Merlot, Malbec, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc)
