READER REPORT: Camera equipment found. Lost? Dumped?

The photo and report are from CC:

This box (was seen on a corner, and) looks like it may be important camera equipment.

The finder didn’t mention its current status but if you’re looking for it, let us know and we’ll do what we can to connect you.

Wow. That’s some high-value gear. Someone is surely missing that.

Tim Durkan here – hold onto that camera gear… I will find out who owns it. It looks stolen. Drop me a note on Facebook, Instagram or website. Thank you for that. Somebody got ripped off. Timdurkan(.)com

There was a commercial film studio on the news with break in and theft. Might be some of their equipment.

Was it found on a corner by a church by any chance? It’s getting into wedding season ,maybe a way to track down the photographer.

I own one of the video production companies that was burglarized, they robbed us a few weeks ago. They took a blue tub of equipment from our office. The cameras don’t look like ours but that tub looks like one they stole. Could someone put me in touch with the OP or let me know where this gear was found?

WSB;Others. Keep us updated on this. Would love to hear that this equipment gets reunited with its rightful owner(s).

As original poster, I had stumbled upon this yesterday on a walk  and asked to post here. I couldn’t tell if it was a neighbor offering up them as free but the quality of items did look suspicious. It looks like most of the equipment has now been removed. The tub and black shelving (not sure what it was) looked like it was still there as of last night.

Those look like Canon XL-1s. State of the art in accessible (affordable) digital video about 25 yeara ago.  Could be stolen, but I wonder if you can still get tape for them.
