Two Admiral-area traffic alerts

Both working right now:

CRASH: Texters report a crash blocking one lane of California near Hanford, in front of St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church. Apparently no major injuries, as it’s a one-engine SFD dispatch.

TREE LIMB: SDOT is being dispatched for a “large tree limb” reported to be blocking part of Admiral Way near Garlough [map].

Crash at Hanford and California was a hit and run. Many eye witnesses (me one of them)  have reported the license plate of the runner. This would be a good opportunity to remind West Seattle Highschool drivers that traffic accidents happen all the time and they are, most of the time, just that,  accidents. Once you run, that’s a crime. Better to be in trouble with your parents than with the law. Glad to see it was only damages to vehicles and no injuries. But parents remind your new drivers, stay at the scene, things will get figured out and be as helpful as possible, people’s lives may depend it.

Thanks for the update.  I was confused why the police were arresting someone for a traffic incident.

Just for the record, downed tree limb was on Garlough, just south of Admiral, and not impacting Admiral at all.  Garlough was completely blocked, although you could get around on the east side by (carefully) driving on the sidewalk/parking strip.  Was removed sometime within the following 90 minutes.

Sorry, comment time is over.
