Thanks to the parent who shared this with WSB! The teachers at Denny-Sealth run an amazing music program despite serious underfunding. Every trip, every competition these kids attend is paid for by their own fundraising efforts. But not all students have networks of people who can contribute adequate funding and scholarship funds, raised through campaigns like this, ensure that all students can go. The teachers come through time and time again, paying out-of-pocket and organizing alternate resources when program funding doesn’t cover supplies. They make sure all students have working instruments, reeds, replacement strings, even a proper pair of shoes for concerts. Please take a minute to contribute. “For the price of a cup of coffee,” you can show our kids that their community believes in them and is willing to invest in them and their education.
