Just caught a glimpse straight out from Cactus on Alki near the Seattle-Bremerton ferry lanes.
Two confirmed humpbacks heading towards Elliot bay. Lime of sight is cactus 0427
Is there a different way of getting alerts? Like immediately – I always seem to be hours off and I am dieing to have a glimpse. I go down I look I go home and then I check the blog every night before bed and constantly read about sightings :(
Yes! There’s a WhatsApp group called “Salish Wildlife Watch 2.0 Land Based, Ethical Sightings.” I think the invite link was posted on one of the previous wildlife-centric blog posts. I’ll see if I can find it. (Doesn’t look like I have permission to generate it in the app. Probably since I’m not a group admin.)

Salish Wildlife Watch .. on Whats App.its about the closest real time alerts I can find.Orca Networks on Facebook too but you have to check when thinking of it to get more real time information from commenters under the comments.
Does this refer to the Cactus restaurant? I had to look up Eagle Harbor. I ask because I went down to the beach after I got the text alert but could not see anything. Thanks!
