If you’re thinking about swimming at Colman Pool – the city-run beachfront saltwater pool at Lincoln Park – tomorrow (Saturday, July 29th), be forewarned: It’s closing early “for a staff event,” Seattle Parks says – 3:15 pm. It’ll be back to normal hours on Sunday.
Good for the staff! I hope they have a lovely event. The Coleman pool is such a gem.
To be clear, we’re not the staff this pool party is for. We didn’t even know about it until the day before.
I was a staff member 45 years ago and attended these staff gatherings, glad to see them still happening. Colman pool is really a gem for Seattle and history.
