Small typo. It’s a one-ton F350. Why are the crooks attracted to these???

It seems like they can use them to steal more stuff and then dump them.  Also probably easier to steal as they are big enough many people park them on the street rather than a tight city driveway.  Also they might have valuable tools or other gear in the bed and cab.

Truck in the photo is a F350, not F150.

I’ll check with the sender. Both the photo and description are exactly as sent.

Crooks steal these powerful trucks to ram them through storefronts or the sides of retail buildings in an effort to grab merchandise or cash.  They also might attach a chain to the truck to try to rip the ATM from the floor. In that case the truck is additionally a convenient way to take the ATM away for later cracking.
