UPDATE: Crash at 24th/Holden

8:19 PM: Avoid SW Holden west of Delridge for a while – a crash response is blocking the road in that area, and police are calling SDOT for cleanup as well as help dealing with traffic.

8:36 PM: That truck and accompanying debris are part of the scene, as is this vehicle:

Police say no one was hurt. They’re trying to determine which driver was at fault, and waiting for tow trucks.

10:11 PM: Commenters confirm the road has reopened.

Driver of the truck appeared to be either drunk or high, after the collision he tried running up Holden towards Delridge. Good Samaritans stopped him and cops arrested him immediately. The car that was t-boned by the truck then slammed into the back of another car parked on the side of the road. That car hit the parked car in front of them. Driver of car had minor injuries. No other injuries reported.

If you are in the area, has the road reopened? We can’t go back to check; monitoring police-radio discussions has been difficult tonight because there have been other crashes elsewhere on the peninsula – police just told dispatch a road was about to reopen but they didn’t say *which* road…

Yes Holden is back open, just drove it. But was a new crash at bottom of Highland Park Way.

Yes, lot of bad driving tonight, from Alki to HP Way to Holden and beyond…

Yes roads are open and it’s cleaned up.

Sorry, comment time is over.
