WEST SEATTLE CRIME WATCH: Senior Center burglarized

Recognize that burglar? The nonprofit Senior Center of West Seattle says he broke into the center’s Stop ‘n’ Shop Thrift Shop around 3:30 am Sunday. Among other things, the burglar stole “some expensive items” that were being researched. They observed that the burglar “seemed to know his way around the center.” If you have any information, the SPD incident number is 19-268996.

This makes me so angry! The Senior Center is such a gift to our community, providing such critical services. Here’s hoping they catch this guy and lock him up!

As a fellow senior that struggles daily with how we are treated, I must remind some of you we all grow old just as we must all die. You will all get to the point of becoming a senior and let us hope that things change for the better the treatment of older folks that have worked and loved their whole lives from being victims and easy targets to respected members of our beloved community. My house maybe old but my foundation is strong, things like this must not, should not be tolerated.

Everyone keeps saying that is a guy. I’m not so sure that it is a guy, hence the covering of the mouth area. Anyone can dress like a “guy” Just trying to open up more possibilities of a capture.
