UPDATE: ‘Rope rescue’ emergency response after woman falls down Emma Schmitz Overlook seawall

6 PM: Seattle Fire has dispatched a sizable “rope rescue” response for an incident toward the south end of Emma Schmitz Overlook. The situation has been described via radio communication as a woman having fallen from the seawall. Updates to come.

6:17 PM: Firefighters have rescued the woman, who is being taken to Harborview, and are wrapping up.

9:31 PM: The injured woman is 67 and was described as in stable condition when taken to the hospital.
