WEST SEATTLE WHALE-WATCHING: Humpback sighting reported

John e-mailed a few minutes ago to report a sighting of humpback whales headed south, south of Alki Point. Let us know if you see them!

Saw them about 30 minutes ago straight off the beach at Alki (a ways out, in the middle of the Sounds).  They stayed under for a long time, but they were easy to spot when they surfaced, by their billowing puffs of water.

They were headed Southbound at a moderate pace. Probably in front of Lincoln Park right now.

Sorry, comment time is over.
