This morning also brought the annual egg hunt at Lincoln Park‘s south meadow, presented by Eastridge Church, which has branches in The Junction and on the Eastside, each one presenting a hunt with 40,000 treat-filled eggs promised between the two. The Eastridge event also offered other activities for kids, including face-painting.
Thank you Eastridge for opening this up to non-members of your church. Kids and I were just passing by to the playground when one of your volunteers invited us to join in on the hunt and bouncy slide. The kids are still talking about it six hours later!
This was such a generous and thoughtful event, it almost made me feel bad about eating two of the Snickers they found in their eggs.
