West Seattle Crime Watch: Stolen station wagon; mystery hit-run

Two Monday morning West Seattle Crime Watch notes:

HAVE YOU SEEN CARRIE ANN’S STATION WAGON? Silver 2002 Volvo V70 wagon, license #AAE8123, stolen in The Junction “up the street from Holy Rosary,” sometime between 8:30 pm Friday & 9:30 am Saturday. Small black spot on the back hatch, where the previous owner’s bike rack rubbed; small-medium dent in the rear passenger’s side door; long slice all along the headliner, across the front, near the windshield; multiple brightly-colored IKEA blankets left inside. Call 911 if you see it.

Also this morning:

MYSTERY HIT-RUN: KS sent this photo and report – it’s not her van, but she wanted to help get the word out:

This van was apparently hit (hard) by a hit & run driver earlier last week (not sure of exact date) and has been parked now in front of the church at 5071 Delridge Way SW for the last several days with (a) note taped to the window.

This is the second major hit on a parked car on this block of Delridge in the last month or so. Mine was recently hit (along with 2 others) and damaged extensively by an unlicensed driver who supposedly fell asleep at the wheel according to the police report (and I believe may have been trying to flee when he hit mine). Hate seeing this happen to folks who often don’t have another place to park their vehicles.

The note on the car’s window asks for anyone with information to call its owner; we’d advise calling police.

Almost a week, and still no word on our stolen Volvo. Thanks for posting, Tracy. Trying to remain hopeful it’ll be recovered…

Sorry, comment time is over.
