West Seattle Crime Watch: Gunfire at 29th/Cambridge

Busy night for police. Now they’re at the scene of a confirmed drive-by shooting – no injuries – in Westwood. Per scanner, they have found shell casings at 29th and Cambridge, which maps to just west of Roxhill Park.

Dear WS Crime Prevention Council and
    West Seattle Blockwatch Captains’ Network:

Please invite Gang Unit to your meetings and instruct us on the ways of these punks so Roxhill and Westwood users can be safer.

    Thank you.

As it turns out, that is what I am working on for our June meeting, 6/24. A kind of gang-101 education: recognizing gang members versus gang wannabees, who is operating in this area and what do they look like, what are their “signs or symbols” versus regular graffiti, what specific gang activity are the detectives are seeing in Seattle and specifically in WS, what we as neighborhoods do to help and keep safe. Email if you would like to be added to our email list.

Apparently I heard the shots being fired from a mile away. I thought they were fireworks because they were fired slowly.

Sorry, comment time is over.
