The Dusty 45s take Hiawatha concert crowd for a spin

Fiery finale for The Dusty 45s tonight, concluding a hot night – despite clouds and a bit of breeze – in the second week of this year’s Summer Concerts at Hiawatha!

Lots of fun for the little ones – even free facepainting (which will be offered again later in the series):

And the band played on:

Guitars on the sidelines, too, courtesy of Frank Gross and West Seattle’s own Thunder Road Guitars (WSB sponsor):

Once again this week, Merrill Gardens (also a WSB sponsor) brought coloring books for young artists:

Next Thursday night, it’s the duo Impossible Bird – 6:30 pm Thursday, August 8th, on the east lawn at Hiawatha (along Walnut Avenue, south of SW Lander, north of the east side of West Seattle High School).

Great show, fun vibe. So cute to see the toddlers dancing and jumping about.

Talking with a new transplant to West Seattle at the concert last night, they made the comment, “these kind of events make the neighborhood special and great.” Thanks to the various associations that produce these events and to the many artists that share their creativity and exceptional talent

The Dusty 45s are so much fun! Billy Joe is a true showman; so much talent. Excellent family experience and bonding community event. Thanks again to the Dusty 45s and all the sponsors that make events like this happen.

The picture of the two little boys in there matching pajamas is adorable! Sounds like the music was fabulous also! I need to get a group of friends to go to one of these before the summers over.
