TRAFFIC/TRANSIT TODAY: Pre-holiday Wednesday

(Live view from the east-facing WS Bridge camera; other cameras are on the WSB Traffic page)
Likely to see less traffic today, on the eve of the 4th of July holiday. Let us know how it goes! Meantime, our reminders again – there’s a weekend 99 closure – Battery Street Tunnel to Valley St., Friday night to Monday morning, and there are holiday transit notes on our West Seattle 4th of July page. And if you’re headed out for a five-day weekend (or longer), remember that when you come back, Monday is expected to be the day the Delridge repaving project switches to its next phase.

Kudos to the officer yanking cars out of the bus only lane on the WS bridge/SSV this morning around 7:45.
At one point the officer even walked north across the two lanes of oncoming traffic to nab an evader!

I appreciate that as well, but it certainly jams up the traffic. Today would have been a walk in the park had he not been there.

    Oh well.

Noticed one lane was closed on Orchard St (eastbound) at the intersection with Delridge next to Arco this morning. Have they started prep work early for the pending Delridge construction project? I snuck around the Webster hairpin instead to get to Holden in Highland Park, but if it’s any indication of construction to come I’m going to have to go around to Roxbury or the high bridge to go to work in Georgetown/Tukwila.

I’m sure that’s what it is.

Sorry, comment time is over.
