West Seattle traffic alert: 35th SW work starts tomorrow

Tomorrow’s scheduled to be day 1 of the 35th SW project between Roxbury and 100th in Arbor Heights, according to SDOT, which says the entire project should last about a month. It includes changes to the 35th/Roxbury signal, as well as sidewalk work between 97th and 100th, as first reported here 2 1/2 weeks ago.

Metro has effed up big time once again. They’ve just re-routed ALL Route 21 buses down SW 102nd St – a Local Access Only, 5T weight restricted street. No notice of any kind – and the construction hasn’t even started. The Operations Mgr. told me this would never happen. Metro and the Seattle Times really share management styles – flagrant disregard for the citizens and neigborhoods to whom they owe their livelihoods.

Oh goodie! NOT! With the impending bus changes and schedules (which Metro schedulers must have written in the dark because none of them make any sense), now we get to deal with construction of sidewalks and intersection light changes all with days of the big change. What next Metro & SDOT?

Why wait until almost October? What a friggin mess! Driving looks better and better each day. Screw Metro!

Sorry, comment time is over.
