West Seattle street food: “Treats” truck bound for Alki

Diane Skwiercz of Street Treats says her “entire family” lives in West Seattle – so it’ll be a homecoming when she brings her dessert truck to Alki tomorrow night. She says she just recently launched Street Treats, baking cookies, brownies and bars every morning, and carrying “homemade ice cream and handheld pies from two local businesses.” She’s not sure where they’ll park but they’re hoping to be at the beach for a few hours starting around 6 pm tomorrow (Thursday). We asked for a photo, so you’d know what to look for; you can also check Twitter to see if she tweets where they wind up – @StreetTreatsWa.

Yum! I will keep it in mind and maybe I can convince Mom to go for a walk and get a treat.

I’ll be on the lookout! This is just my kind of street food. Best of luck.

Hey, any chance of creating/serving a sugar-free ice cream and other treats sweetened with maltitol or stevia?? We NEED something like that in Seattle!!

    Mmm munchies.
Any idea what the Two Local Businesses they get ice cream and pies from are?

Maybe someone else does. I didn’t have time to follow up during our e-mail exchange last night but if no answer is forthcoming, someone let us know when you go check it out tonight!

According to the “About” section of their site, the ice cream and pies are from Half Pint Ice Cream and High Five Pies.

    .

Hmmmmm…..High Five Pies. Gives me an idea for a TV commercial for them; “High Fivin’ Pie Guys“. The ad would show a bunch of guys running around, jumping in the air and slapping pies together with upraised arms. ;)

Thanks for the comments everyone. We are going to try to head down to Alki about 6pm. Not sure where we are going to park, it will depend on the traffic and parking spots available. I will tweet our location.
We have lots of ice cream and cookies for “make your own ice cream sandwiches.”
@Dawn, this is our third week in business, so at this time, we are going to focus on what we do best.
@Mike, that is a great idea!
