Followup: Tour of “The Hole” brings one rapid result

Thanks to commenter “dd” for observing that a crew was at “The Hole” this afternoon, removing the tagged green tarp that had been up against the fence – one of the problems pointed out by the community leaders who led a walking tour of the site late Monday (here’s our original report, published this morning). We went over to check on “dd”‘s report, and got the photo you see above. The crew told us they’d be replacing the tarps.

I really miss Hancock Fabrics. I don’t want to drive to Southcenter for a notion.

There will be a completed replacement for the viaduct before this hole is filled in.

Yeah Right and Austin, Just wait and see. The Junction Association (merchants) and JUNO (neighbors) are pretty successful with dealing with issues. I predict they will get action and soon!!! Keep your fingers crossed.

So, I guess the folks over on Stone Way are ‘challenged’ because THAT particular hole has been there over 5 years.
    .
Good luck. But until someone pays someone to fill it back in, nobody is going to do it for free or because it is ugly.

Sorry, comment time is over.
