A day and a half after our first report of arrests on the February 1st murder of Steve Bushaw in West Seattle, police have issued their official news release – with one new bit of info: They’re still asking for tips in the case. Read on for the full text (including where to direct tips):

Seattle Police Homicide detectives have arrested four men wanted in connection with the February 1st, 2009 homicide in West Seattle. On that day at about 11:40 pm, the victim was crossing the street in the 4700 Block of California Avenue Southwest when two suspects shot the victim in the street. The suspects reportedly fled the scene in a white sedan. The victim was able to make his way inside a nearby restaurant where he collapsed. The victim was transported to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Seattle Police Homicide detectives arrested four suspects wanted in connection with this homicide on the morning of December 1st, 2009. Suspects Bryce Huber, 27; Brandon Chaney, 30; Danny O’Neal Jr., 28; and John Sylve, 32, were all arrested and charged in the King County Superior Court with First-Degree Murder and Conspiracy to Commit First-Degree Murder. Suspect Sylve was arrested early morning on December 1st in San Antonio, Texas, with the assistance of several agencies, including the U.S. Marshal’s Lone Star Fugitive Task Force. The other three suspects were arrested later that morning in the Seattle area.

This is an active and on-going homicide investigation as detectives continue to receive new information and follow up on leads.
